Audioblog: The Dead Normality – Oppress The Oppressor

I like metal music. Moreover I like metal bands who write songs about war related topics. I was the singer in a band called The Dead Normality and one of the last songs we ever recorded is called Oppress The Oppressor. This song is a cover tune of one of my older bands called Dead By Dawn, the track was featured on our first EP called New Sounds Of Murder. The song is inspired by worldwide oppression. The original song dates from 2002, the “new” version was recorded in 2012. Enjoy!

Oppress The Oppressor

Sounds of violence displayed in force
Turn to silence when all are lost
Futile assaults on human life to crack the vision of the free minds

Crack the vision, break the mind
We’ll see the end of terror’s rise
Avenge the death of innocent thought
Kill the oppressor with all means at hand

Wastelands in which they live are the only home they know
Ethnic cleansing creates sorrow beyond belief
Loss of life reaches unimaginable proportions
Violent oppression human regression

Pressure builds and resistance explodes into mass rebellion
United effort to rid ourselves from the yoke of social perversion

Strike back, retaliate in force
Regain ground, take back pride once lost

Oppress The Oppressor
With all means at hand
Oppress The Oppressor
Kill the perpetrator

Erase the traces of bestial behavior
Hunt down and kill the perpetrator

Crack the vision, break the mind
We’ll see the end of terror’s rise
Avenge the death of innocent thought
Kill the oppressor with all means at hand
